Re-Finding Our Social Lives With Childcare.co.uk [AD]

It means I can potentially chat to one of the women at our kids’ nursery about babysitting at the weekend without feeling like I’m poaching them at their day job. It means I can read other people’s reviews of using them and either contact them or create a job with exactly what I’m looking for. This summer, I want us to re-find that, invest in our relationship and enjoy a little more of each others company away from the kids allowing us to appreciate each other, and them, a little more. Our childcare village is about to grow with a little help from our online friends over at Childcare.co.uk and I can’t wait to see our family reap the benefits – plus this mama is looking forward to a date, without the kids in tow!

The Elvie Breast Pump: Is It Worth The Price? - DEVON MAMA

The Elvie pump is touted as being a ‘silent’ breast pump. I tried this a few times with my old pump and always got amazing milk production results but the juggle of trying to manage a small baby and a pump at the same time was always one resulting in fear that the pump (or baby) would go flying. It’s easy to charge though and because the main body doesn’t really look like a pump, you could charge it anywhere even if you’re a bit squeamish about having it out in the office. At £250, the Elvie Breast Pump is not a cheap pump although I did manage to find a voucher code for one of the stockists and got it down to about £210.

Living Arrows 2019: Week Sixteen

That, combined with Easter has meant lots of celebrations and family events last week, and even more to come over the next few days… the healthy eating has taken so much of a back seat that I think it’s in the garage by now! I could write about seeing him interact with my family, I’d wax lyrical about watching him play with his friends but the highlight of my week has been seeing his joy at the Easter bunny. Easter’s not really a big thing for us other than a chance to see family and friends, but we’d gotten a few eggs to hide and a larger egg at the end to find. He can’t read but he is learning his letters so each time he’d read out the letters to us and we’d sound it out for him… the poor kid

Living Arrows 2019: Week Fifteen

If I could have told that nervous version of me lingering outside of the town hall that I’d meet friends that would last me years, I wouldn’t have believed it. We’ve made it to the farm shop this weekend to eat far too much, say hi to the lobsters at the fish counter and meet the animals outside. It’s been a lovely week packed with adventures with my favourite people, even if I’d quite like to get a little more sleep. He’s taken to big brotherhood like an absolute pro but it’s certainly had it’s moments over the last week
