I'm a wife and a mom who loves to (over)share about our everyday lives - what we're eating, what we're doing, where we're going, and so. much. more. Welcome!
This easy peasy two-ingredient fruit dip recipe takes just a couple minutes to whip together and is sure to be a hit at your next shower, barbecue, or even as a sweet treat you keep in the refrigerator all to yourself. My best friend’s mother made this fruit dip for my wedding shower almost a decade ago and then wrote it out on a recipe card that she included with my gift Next, I take a few minutes to dice up some fresh fruit (always putting just a teeny bit of lemon juice on the sliced apples to keep them from browning too quickly), cover the platter tightly with plastic wrap, and head off to the get-together! This fruit dip is versatile and could be drizzled with caramel sauce, mixed with chocolate chips, or even spread on a sugar cookie and topped with fruit for a pretty dessert.
The “Buy New Colors” Brand New Option from Stitch Fix I’m Obsessed With It all started when I logged into my Stitch Fix account to make sure I wasn’t receiving a fix this month or next, because I need a few months to let my body figure itself out after Jillian comes. I’m not sure if I missed an email about this or what, but I can’t believe Stitch Fix hasn’t announced this new option on their site, to their influencers, or to their email subscribers. Once I did some damage, I switched over to Hadley’s and Sadie’s Stitch Fix accounts (as seen below) to see if I needed to update their sizes or make any additional requests before their “back to school” fixes come this month.
The wallpaper accent wall trend took off with full steam a couple years ago, and I was highly interested in jumping on the bandwagon and making this the focal point in Jillian’s nursery. Jillian’s side table (next to the glider) is originally from Hadley’s room (we want to eventually get her a new nightstand with drawers anyway). Everything bought for Hadley’s and Sadie’s nurseries are still the things that generally decorate their walls today, so I know that everything we bought for Jillian will last her a good, long while as well. Sorry that I don’t have links for much of what I shared (since it’s either years old or from At Home without links to buy online), but if you do have further questions about where to find something, don’t hesitate to ask!
We’ve had a lot of special occasions the last few months that have had me running around town or scouring the internet in search of the perfect item(s), but there have been a few times where I have felt myself in a pinch resorting to purchasing something last minute that’s not quite as thoughtful as I would have liked. So without further adieu, here are a handful of random gift ideas that I hope inspire a gift you are excited to give in the near future. This Is How We Do It: One Day in the Lives of Seven Kids from around the World ($14.44): Because I’ve heard great things about this book and have had it in my own Amazon wish list for a while to grab for my girls one of these days. Bath Bombs Gift Set of 12 US Made Fizzies ($26.80): Because this gift will be well received as a pick-me-up, birthday gift, or other special occasion where you want your recipient to know that she deserves a little pampering and time to herself.
