I hope you’re taking some time to enjoy whatever part of the holiday season your family celebrates. That being said, I just wanted to let you guys know that I’ve got some big changes coming to this little blog. It’s been quite a while now since I’ve shared much here on the blog and that’s not because I don’t have plans to continue sharing, I’ve just been focused on some much needed work behind the scenes. I also wanted to apologize belatedly for any inconveniences in finding posts or weird glitches you may have experienced.
If I had to make a top 5 chocolate candy list, I think peanut butter cups would be near the top. There’s just something so timeless about peanut butter and chocolate. I mean, there really is no wrong way to combine peanut butter and chocolate. There’s something about the holiday season especially, that just needs to have some homemade candy, you know what I mean?
I’ve eaten these burgers chopped up on salads, sliced and put in a wrap, cut into pieces for a “Buddha” bowl, and even just eaten them like a snack. It seems like with the sweet potato being the star player here, these burgers would be overly sweet for a savory meal. I even found that these could handle any sweet condiments that you might like with your burger like ketchup or bbq. Of course, Fall wouldn’t be complete without baking some treats and cookies are always a crowd favorite. Now, they’re not exactly health food, obviously, but balance is a good practice and this time of year just needs occasional treats. To be completely honest, I was never a huge fan of the crunchier type store bought cookies as a kid. However, if I was going to OD on a packaged cookie, these maple leaves are pretty hard to turn down.
