Unique vintage finds for today's modern home
My husband and I will likely be moving in the near future, once our youngest is out the door and away at college. We are in the process of figuring out the lifestyle we will want to live, which will determine our location for our next move
The only table that I had available to stage the room had previously been used in my kitchen, until I replaced it with the Hamptons Farmhouse table a few months ago. The buffet is also mine but not an old piece (it actually was purchased at Home Goods years ago). The tables were purchased at a thrift store years ago and finished in General Finishes Seagull Gray (post here). The cabinet is an old piece I found in a thrift store and painted with Annie Sloan French Linen with a topcoat of Maison Blanche Dark Brown wax.
She is listing a house up the street and needed some pieces to help stage the house. I brought over my newly painted blue nightstands, a cabinet, my Seagull Gray thrift store end tables that I painted years ago, and a farmhouse table and buffet table. Today, I’m sharing a makeover of a dresser that was found in the basement of the house. The basement dresser is now upstairs in the master bedroom with my blue nightstands and it looks so sweet!
It all started when my customer spotted these awesome chairs in the dressing rooms at Lilly Pulitzer. , I knew right away that it was the Lilly Pulitzer dressing room because my girls and I also love that fun, brightly colored space in their stores! In order to duplicate that bright, bold pop of blue, I went straight to Annie Sloan’s Giverny. For the chairs, I added Pure White into the Giverny to recreate that blue from the Lilly Pulitzer store.
