For more information, visit my disclosure page I would like to announce to the world that my son is a reader. He was a struggling reader and it caused me many sleepless nights worrying if I would be able to teach him to read fluently and if I was the right person for the job. It seems he was just a bit of a late bloomer in the reading category, but lately his reading ability has soared. If you also have a struggling or reluctant reader, you simply must check out my favorite reading program to see if it might help your child.
And I have to admit that I’ve attended more than my fair share of conventions. So whether you’ve never attended a convention or you are a convention hall veteran, it’s important to understand the types of conventions and ask yourself if it’s worth the time and expense to attend. I personally try to attend conventions that are supporting homeschool advocacy and serve as a resource for local families – spreading the word about homeschool events and connecting families to support groups and co-ops. I highly encourage you to attend one this year – especially if the convention is supporting an organization that advocates for homeschool freedoms.

It’s all about Easter eggs with this fun book list! The Best Easter Egg Hunt Ever Enjoy these other book lists, as well as these posts to help you enjoy your homeschool journey!

Where we used to be able to just put down our homeschool books and shut the door, leaving the rest of the house a little less cluttered, now our homeschool is everywhere. I’ve made it to a new stage of homeschooling and it’s a bit bittersweet as I reminisce on the old days of cramming around our table all together.
