The students selected to receive these scholarships maintained an impressive academic record, exhibited leadership and community involvement, as well as consistently demonstrating Lam’s Core Values – inside and outside of the classroom. Representatives from Lam Research and local leaders in the community pored over each application to find the young adults who best exemplified achievement, honesty and integrity, innovation and continuous improvement, mutual trust and respect, open communication, ownership and accountability, and teamwork. Since 2003, the Lam Foundation, our charitable giving foundation, has awarded scholarships to students in Fremont, California; Livermore, California; Hillsboro, Oregon; Tigard, Oregon; and Tualatin, Oregon – areas in which we maintain headquarters and manufacturing facilities. Now in its 16th consecutive year, the Lam Foundation, in partnership with East Bay Community Foundation, has provided more than $1,000,000 in scholarships to over 100 students.
