We booked the boutique hostel after spotting it on Booking.com and after seeing all the instagram shots with the pool floats, I just had to book it for our two night / three days in Kuta. I would say that the inn sways more to boutique hostel than hotel as many of the rooms are bunk beds (ie 6 pax female-only), and there are communal areas which give off the whole “hostel community” vibe. The pool itself has a cute little feature from above, but if you fancy cute photos or just a laze in the sun, grab one of many pool floats (they’re cute af). If you’re looking into going to Bali, or maybe one of your fave influencers has been (or is lucky enough to live there, damn it), you’ll probably lost count of how many times you’ve spotted “Wanagiri Hidden Hills” as a tagged location. The typical “Bali Instagram shot” on a swing is somewhat cliche, but when in Bali eyyy *shrug emoji* On one of our custom tours with Hire Bali Driver, we booked in to stop off for some instagrammy couples shots at Wanagiri Hidden Hills. The photo props include a big swing (to actually swing on), smaller swings for cute photos, nests, boats, etc. If you’re exploring the area anyway, and are looking for a handful of cute #baliinspo photos for a fraction of the price of big names like “Bali Swing”, I would highly recommend popping down to Wanagiri Hidden Hills for some cute shots.

The Ini Vie villa was the only one with availability and although it wasn’t my first choice, I wasn’t about to complain about which luxury villa We ended up booking one night in Ini Vie Villa‘s one bedroom villa with pool and Jacuzzi for IDR 2,250,000, which equates to about £123. The floating breakfast is a must at least once when you’re in Bali, and since Ini Vie Villa was our little splurge for the trip we decided to book it here. The Ini Vie Villa itself was a lovely addition to our mixed bag of accommodation in Bali, and it was so lovely to get to spend 24 hours alone with Alix after staying in a busy hotel/hostel situation in Kuta.
