’s mom was actually the first person who reached out in order to help coordinate this surprise marriage proposal. During the trip he had planned a horse and carriage ride for just the two of them at Disney’s Port Orleans Riverside resort. So my second photographer Jerzy and I planned to arrive early in order to meet a family member to setup the gazebo in advance. We were able to capture it all from afar without her even noticing he had gotten professional proposal photographers to capture the moment.

They contacted me to capture some magical engagement photos for them at Magic Kingdom and their session quickly turned into one of my most popular Disney shoots to date! A few months later they reached out to let me know they had set their wedding date and were interested in having me come out to Oklahoma City to capture their big day. She wore her traditional Chinese attire and headpiece for the first part of the day which included having breakfast followed by the Chinese tea ceremony at her house and lastly the Vietnamese tea ceremony at the Groom’s house. We finished up our 12-hour day at their Hy Palace reception where their guests enjoyed a delicious eight course meal, a live band and tons of fun moments alongside the bride & groom.

After doing some research online and coming across the many surprise proposals I have photographed over the years, Manan reached out to me for some expert help planning his own! He also knew he wanted to do it at sunset since that was Ashley’s favorite time of day. She thought their boat tour was scheduled to start, but instead we actually had a full 1-hour engagement photography session planned around the resort. Luckily the crazy Florida weather cooperated with us and we were able to capture some gorgeous engagement photos with this super sweet couple with no rain.

Amber and Jordan were such a chill and laid back couple and as a result their wedding day was truly a blast! Their day was absolutely stunning, but it was truly centered around the genuine moments and not the minor details which made it an absolute joy to capture.
