Crocheted Pillow Cover: Mid-Century Modern

Yarn over one last time and draw the hook through all 11 loops on the hook leaving just one loop on the hook. Since the puff stitch is worked from the back, the next row (row 3) needs to be one full row of single crochet stitches. To create the “stripes” of puff stitches, after my fourth row of puff stitches, I did 8 rows of single crochet stitches. The combination of the H hook, sports weight yarn, and 51 stitches worked out perfectly for making a cover for my existing 18″ square pillow form.

DIY Chalkboard Labels for Organizing

Next, I used my Cricut to cut chalkboard vinyl a half-inch smaller in both directions and placed one in the center of each painted wood square. Baskets of a variety of sizes, but all matching, help me to corral like things and keep the space more orderly than just stacking on the shelves. Initially, I used chalk to write on the labels but it didn’t take long for me to realize the labeling would last longer if I used chalk pens. The hair clips and the chalk pens make it easy to switch the labels around or change what is in the bins.

So when I found this black and white tribal print-ish curtain (similar) around Christmas, it turned out to be a great choice. O-Man likes black and white and assuring him we would use a black curtain rod and hooks made him even happier. ’s supplies are in the black bottles while Tasha’s are in the white ones. Anti-microbial bamboo towels are so soft and fluffy which are great for Tasha’s allergies.
