Because of my white walls, I made sure the furniture I chose had texture, so the room wouldn’t look institutional. With white walls, it is super important to use white deliberately and to have lots of texture! Lastly, I love the shades of blue in the Cape Cod print, and knew I wanted to add a touch of blue to my cozy corner. I’m thinking about adding more blue with this stripe rug or sticking to white textures with this white faux sheep skin.

In the evening, as much as I like to think I’ll be making a homemade meal for the two of us, the reality is dinner will be takeout with a bottle of red wine or a good beer and pajamas. Wear it with a pair of heeled booties or high heels, a red lip and soft curls and you are ready for your Valentine’s date! Whereas most Valentine’s outfits can only be worn once, the beauty with this dress is you can continue wearing it into the spring. So although I’ll most likely be in my red pajamas this Valentine’s Day, I’ll be wearing this dress a lot in the months to come!
