She’ll then sleep for 45 mins to an hour before waking up around 10am and play and feed before she’s down for her lunch time nap which typically can last around 1.5 to 2 hours. She was barely awake for 30 mins when she started crying again and fell asleep at 630pm within 5 mins of carrying. Rather than trying to catch Elise’s sleeping cues after 1-1.5 hours (her usual awake time), I kept a close watch for her sleeping cues while she plays and realised that she gets tired a lot faster when she is overstimulated/ overtired. That day she took her naps after awake time of just 30-45 mins and napped a lot more in terms of duration and frequency.

I read/ listened to Jackie Mize’s Supernatural Childbirth almost everyday during my pregnancy and felt assured by God’s words about His blessings towards the pregnancy, my safety, baby’s well-being and the delivery process being a smooth and “supernatural” one. I know there are increasingly more places providing pre-natal massage services now, but I turn to Madam Partum again because my post-partum massage experience with them last year was amazing.
A number of you have been asking if we’ve decided what to name our little babe and I believe I’ve answered some of you but also gave ambiguous answers to some because I wanted to share a “name reveal” blog post! If you’ve seen my previous blog post on our maternity shoot, some sharp-eyed friends might have already realise that our little girl is also a Baby E (like our angel baby – Ellie). Similarly, Elise’s name came to me without much thought, and even before we found out the baby’s gender. When the name Elise came to my mind, I immediately grew a liking to it because I love how it sounds like Ellie, that it has a french origin (not made in France this time, but we did go France for our babymoon
