Home made Swedish Chokladbollar (chocolateballs)

In Sweden there is this “dessert”/snack called Delicatoboll, which is basically oats, butter, chocolate, sugar and coconut shreds… and is “known” for being vegan. And you can of course switch the sugar for sweetener, not so sure if you can switch the margarine for something else, as the margarine is the binder. Of course, you can make these as raw balls if you use maybe dates as the ball and then coat in coconut shreds and cacao powder. HOWEVER then you aren’t eating typical swedish Chokladbollar, then you are eating a chocolate rawfood ball, haha!

Vegan Easter recipes!

If you try any of these recipes, or get inspired by some of these recipes don’t forget to let me know or tag me on Instagram 🙂 Bread with skagenröra (a tofu/”caviar” mix) Then, in a frying pan or in the oven, cover the carrots and parsnips in a mix of syrup & margarine(melted) and fry until glazed, or bake in the oven at 200C for 10-20 minutes. (*note, can add a little balsamic vinegar to the mix as well, or use sugar instead or syrup, or oil instead of margarine). Bake in the oven around 30-40 minutes at 220 C. Cover the potatoes in some oil, salt and seasoning before hand!

Smashed potatoes with pea&avocado dip

Smashed potatoes is a new way to eat potatoes – also a good way to use up boiled potatoes you have left over. Also the pea and avocado dip isn’t new on here… It is best to choose a firm potato type (such as a regular white potato, usually smaller in shape), i.e not a “floury” potato (like russet) that works better for mashed potatoes. This is one of the perfect ways to use up left over potatoes… such as maybe after christmas or Easter when you have made a whole bunch of boiled potatoes and end up with half the potatoes left!

Why diets don’t work

You often cut out on lots of processed food, you limit your intake – often far more than necessary – and that all results in 1) losing water weight, 2) feeling less bloated and 3) you may even feel energetic because you feel so motivated to make a change. You eat at a calorie deficit because you cut out alot of processed and high calorie food Going on a diet doesn’t have to be wrong or bad, however they often don’t work and many end up losing weight during the diet and then regaining it all once the diet is over because they just go back to old ways again. Of course, if you eat a whole bunch of “junk food”, then you may feel better after drinking a green juice or eating some fruit, but you don’t need to do a juice cleanse to compensate or detox your body.
