Taking tons of selfies and standing as still as possible waiting for the self-timer to go off (or did it? ) can be exhausting and take some of the romance out of capturing this extremely picturesque part of your wedding adventure. I joined these two a few days into their honeymoon to capture the start of their adventure as husband and wife. And for the newlyweds, you know you’re capturing real, timeless moments from your honeymoon. This honeymoon session was photographed on Isla Holbox, Mexico.
Before Kaylinda and Sage’s intimate villa wedding in northern Spain, we took off on an adventurous drive through Catalonia. The adventure took us to a breathtaking village that was the perfect backdrop for their engagement session in Spain! Breathtaking views, cobblestone streets, and a small river that ran through the center. . . While exploring all the quirky art and architecture this town had to offer, we snuck a few photos as well.
This beautiful, romantic wedding at Sunstone Villa wedding remains one of the warmest and most joyous weddings I have been able to witness. When Joey and I first talked about what kind of venue we wanted and what kind of feel we wanted our wedding to have, we immediately agreed upon a few characteristics: we wanted an outdoor venue in central California with a beautiful view that exuded both a sense of class, warmth, and togetherness. We also wanted our California guests to feel like they were being whisked away for a weekend to some far off land but not have to travel more than half a day to get there. In those moments before our First Look I couldn’t remember what it ever felt like to not know her beautiful face.
We met three days before I was supposed to move out of Los Angeles to live with my parents, and about three months before I was supposed to move across the country to start law school in New York. He was in his third year of Orthopedic Surgery residency in Orange County, had three years of training left, and I would need the same to finish my schooling as well. But we did keep seeing (and FaceTiming) each other, and eventually one cross-country trip led to another, and then weekend visits turned into staying with each other for a month or two at a time over winter or summer breaks. We really wanted our wedding to feel intimate and personal, as though we were inviting everyone to our backyard for a garden party, so it was important for us to have a lot of personal and rustic touches. ”
