The way she loves us, the way she dances to every song she hears, the way she bosses her brothers around (and they happily listen), the way she gets excited when she sees a piece of chocolate, the way she says AAAAAA-mean” when we pray, the way she wants to sing twinkle twinkle every night before bed, the way she grabs my face and kisses my cheek… all of it I guess I should give up fighting you on outfit selection because you seem to have some style sense that would make Kate Middleton jealous. I can’t fully put into words how grateful we are that you came into our world.
It’s funny because I truly thought I would never be able to leave our home in Illinois without being SUPER sad about it… and so far, I haven’t felt a ton of sadness over missing our home. And I’m talking about the physical home… not “home And it doesn’t feel like “home”. I am sure God is trying to teach me something through this, ya know, like being settled has nothing to do with where you live… but right now, in the midst of the waiting game, I haven’t learned to shake the feeling yet.
