In an effort to increase user privacy and block distracting ads, former Google employees have created a new search engine called Neeva, which will operate on a monthly subscription basis. Set to debut in the upcoming 2022 BMW i4, BMW’s iDrive 8 infotainment software will deliver a more holistic user experience by allowing drivers to control vital car functions using personalized voice commands. Following in Tesla and GM’s footsteps, Ford is outfitting many of its future Ford Mustang Mach-E electric vehicles with Active Driver Assist hands-free driving capabilities, which will be available to drivers for a $600 activation fee.

’s click-through-rate, Mitsubishi’s new digital buying platform, and the Jeep Wagoneer High-end audio manufacturer McIntosh has designed a new sound system for the 2022 Jeep Wagoneer and the 2022 Jeep Grand Wagoneer, which will feature 23 speakers, a 1375-watt amplifier, and adaptive surround-sound processing. To keep up with the shift from in-person purchasing to digital retailing, Mitsubishi has developed its own take on online car buying called “ClickShop,” where users can browse dealership inventory, create a custom deal, submit a credit application, and book test drives. The Volvo XC40 Recharge was the first Volvo car with a Google Android infotainment system, and for the 2022 model year, the same operating system will be added to the Volvo XC60, S90, V90, and V90 Cross Country.
