Sweet Jolie has Officially Opened!

You’ll get close-ups of aaaallll the interior goodies Nicole managed to find. No matter your shape, no matter the style-tude (yeah, it’s a word), you’re rocking that day — I think I’ll find many an excuse to wander on by, just to see what else they’ve managed to find. Don’t forget until the end of tomorrow (July 14th, 2017), you can shop with an exclusive discount!

Sweet Jolie opens new boutique!

I recently had the honour to check out the new digs for Sweet Jolie’s first brick and mortar store in Edmonton (open July 6th, 2017) Nicole began her journey from home, and those of you in-the-know, know that the Sweet Jolie brand is synonymous with woman-friendly, size-friendly, boho, gorgeous, girly beauty. Let’s get a little taste of that fun Sweet Jolie Style, with the lovely Nicole! The juxtaposition of the soft and the hard, the lovely and the industrial, hits the perfect mark in the new Sweet Jolie Boutique.

How to make a DIY Wooden Headboard

We used long heavy-duty screws to drill from the front, through the MDF, through the support boards beneath, and into our wall studs. We did drill out the MDF in order to counter-sink a few lag bolts (for extra support and strength), however we found that the MDF material itself did a pretty good job sinking the regular heavy-duty screws evenly, and cleanly. The two sheets of MDF are quite heavy, so you want to ensure you are mounting directly to the wall, and be sure to hit your wall studs beneath, for a safe and sturdy headboard. I’m working on getting a couple new nightstands, and a few other goodies, delivered on time for the big reveal next Tuesday!

Master Bedroom Design Progress

If you haven’t heard, a bunch of bloggy pals and myself are taking part in the New Year, New Room Refresh Challenge (hosted by the lovely Casa Watkins Living). Things have been looking a little dorm-room-ish surrounding the bed area with a big blank wall, mis-matched nightstands, and not a whole lot else going on. Now, it’s time to pull things together with the new wood headboard! A big shout out the the “New Year, New Room Refresh Challenge”, sponsors!
