I think I have never been to one single place as often as to Scotland. This Northern part of Great Britain simply has so much to offer! Surreal landscapes like the Isle of Skye, cool cities like Edinburgh, crazy traditions like the Loony Dook and a nice pub on every other corner

I’ve decided where I am going next. Next week I will be chilling by the beach, do a lot of surfing and drink many fresh fruit shakes

It still has this rough charm from the old days when fishermen were the source of income for the areas around the harbour like St. Pauli. We did a harbour tour, walked endless kilometres through the old and new streets of the city, met friends like Backpacker Steve and ate some of the best burgers of Germany. Today it’s home to the alternative scene of Hamburg and less crowded like the very touristy Reeperbahn in St. Pauli. If you are looking for a great skybar in Hamburg you should check out the 20up in the Empire Riverside Hotel in St. Pauli.

The best time for safaris is July through October, this is the dry season and the animals come to water holes during that time. To travel the South and West December through April are best, whereas January through March are better for the mountains. The country offers everything you need for a great trip: beautiful beaches, amazing underwater world which is among the top 3 in Southeast Asia, as well as mountains, jungle and tea plantations for hiking. And if you want to put your surfing skills to the test then the best time to do so is November through February on the North coast.
