Chelsea moved here from Charleston and was inspired to start her own business, Dermasweet, specializing in sugaring, skin care and hair removal. I want women to be kind to their skin using safe products and safe ways of hair removal. Also, being able to provide for my family and spend time with my daughter, something most people aren’t able to do as a working parent. It’s a lot of work and it’s a constant upkeep.

When we first started this business 3 years ago we mainly provided furniture to weddings but have expanded to also share our things to showers, photoshoots and corporate events. Couples who normally would marry in a courthouse can instead have a gorgeous wedding at a fraction of the price of a traditional wedding because they are sharing the costs of their day and decor with other like minded elopement couples. I first started the business as a way to re-live the experience of my own special day with others but as we continued to grow over the years it has been so rewarding to set business and financial goals and actually achieve them. Being a business owner gives me a whole new perspective on things and it’s really exciting to see how this new path has provided a different life for me and my family.

At Anahata Swimwear, we believe women deserve to feel confident and free while wearing a bathing suit. We specialize in made-to-fit swimwear, which means that we utilize our client’s measurements to create the perfect suit for their body every time​. After several months of tender nudging, He showed me that I could take my greatest passions (women’s empowerment, self-love, giving back) and infuse them into the branding for this fabulous business idea. Running a business is H A R D, but it shouldn’t be our whole world – people are, life is, so keep laughing and you won’t take it too seriously.
