Hi! My name is Tasheena! I'm a wife and mommy looking for new ways to make life easier for my family and yours!
I know that I’ve already shared my amazing three bean chili recipe, but my sweet potato chili has an extra boost of flavors and textures that make it totally different from the original! Sweet potato chili is still a savory dish so you’re going to find chili powder, cumin, and those hearty, filling flavors from the veggies and black beans. Add some fresh-baked cornbread muffins (no shame in a box mix) and you have an easy, delicious meal any day of the week! If you’re obsessed with sweet potatoes like I am, you’ll love these recipes: sweet potato enchilada casserole, sweet potato and kale soup, and one pan veggies with sausage!
I recently shared cotton ball painting on Instagram and I got such a great reaction that I wanted to talk about it a little more here! Cotton ball painting is a simple activity and it works especially great for toddlers and preschoolers! Here’s all you need for cotton ball painting: Clip one cotton ball on each clothespin, dip it in the paint, and start creating! And like most art activities, cotton ball painting allows for a ton of self-expression and imagination.
The first 5 years of motherhood I was stuck in this mindset that I had to sacrifice so much of myself to do what was best for my family. Although it seems like the worst time to start thinking of yourself, it wasn’t until I was pregnant with our 3rd child that I started to really open my mind to the idea of making myself and my desires a priority. I was pregnant and knew that I needed change, big change, but wasn’t sure where to start. but I knew it was my second chance and needed to prove to myself that my change in mindset was enough.
Our new favorite way to enjoy a healthy, tasty snack is cinnamon raisin peanut butter balls! Peanut butter balls require zero heat or sharp objects so it’s completely safe for kids to lend a hand. To make our cinnamon raisin peanut butter balls, all you need are peanut butter, oats, honey, cinnamon, and raisins. My family loves when I make cinnamon raisin peanut butter balls!
