We celebrate my birthday trying to relive my childhood and then I get to work on a challenge from John: to change the manual fuel pump on our diesel engine for an electric fuel pump. Letting me do it was not the most efficient choice, but the little $12 pump we bought on Amazon seemed to do the job. We also have trouble testing the fuel pump as the starter motor decides this is the time that it needs to be replaced. The job is explained as much as possible from the greatest diesel mechanic (amateur diesel mechanic) on YouTube.
Our entire trip down the US East Coast and through the North Atlantic consisted of bad weather. The only thing that kept us going was that the Bahamian paradise that awaited us on the other side of the Gulf Stream would all be worth it.
