I’m feeling healthier and so thrilled for this change, This is my last year of homeschooling and I feel as if I’ve lost my oomph! This past year I’ve been focusing on building my business. Put all the new things I’ve stepped into this year And in all of this, I’ve had to (hopefully temporarily) lay down other things I’ve been jugging.
By the seventh day God completed His work which He had done, and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had done. Then God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, because in it He rested from all His work which God had created and made. When we neglect times of rest and refreshment (and I don’t just mean the 6-7 hours of sleep the average American gets), it’s like we are telling God that WE know better than HIM. We need to listen to God and take His gift of rest with the joy and love with which it is offered.
I took a (mostly) day off from work, enjoyed having my husband still home on break between semesters, didn’t have to drive anyone anywhere and talked with a dear friend on the phone. Now I’ve got some serious setting up for my son’s trip to college. I’ve only had 1 other child go away to college, and she went with a friend to get all set up. I’ve been super encouraged with the responses to gals who’ve downloaded and begun their own person time of retreating with the Lord.
It is like the precious oil on the head, running down on the beard, on the beard of Aaron, running down on the collar of his robes! For there the has commanded the blessing, It is a beautiful thing before the Lord, even on the internet (maybe especially on the internet) for our bonds of sisterhood to thrive and build one another up.
