I left for work at my usual time – just before 06:30 – and it took me over an hour to get in. One guy I work with took 4.5 hours to get to work. On Saturday I went to my aunt’s 70th birthday party brunch at Moyo in Blouberg. There was a huge breakfast buffet which included fruit, yoghurt, cream, flapjacks, croissants, breads and a warm breakfast too.
My new-found favourite snack: rice crispy treats. What you need 6 cups of rice crispies (I used the Pick n Pay – they are much bigger and cheaper) Melt the butter and marshmallows on a light heat on the stove. Once mixed in, place on baking paper on a tray and leave to set.
Usually when I talk about a blue Monday I am referring to a depressing Monday. It was 27 degrees with almost clear blue skies and a couple of fluffy clouds here and there. After work, my friend picked me up and we went for a run/walk along Sea Point promenade. On the way back we got Myog (mine was a combination of rooibos and peanut-butter frozen yoghurt with cranberries and coconut as a topping).
I treated myself to a couple of new clothing items two weeks ago. The items I bought included a pair of boots (R350 – Pick ‘n Pay), jacket (R120 – Mr Price) and a pair of pants (R120 – Mr Price). My mom went to a second-hand shop on my behalf and also bought some things for me, including two skirts (brand new) and two shirts. The total of those items = R80.
