Allergy-Friendly Bakery Feature: Awesome Bites Co. – Em's NutFree Eats

In these bakery features, I’ll be sharing background on the bakery, what allergies they are able to accommodate, and a review of all the treats they offer and which ones are my favorite! While they sell a handful of treats with gluten, including some of their muffins and a few of their cupcakes, they have a completely separate kitchen for items that contain gluten! However, they offer other more unique cupcake flavors, including their “hostess” cupcakes, cookie dough stuffed cupcakes, and donut cupcakes (complete with mini gluten-free donuts!) Some of my holiday favorites were the Halloween donuts and cupcakes (including the adorable mummy donut), the Christmas cake-in-a-jar, the Valentine’s Day mini heart cake, and the allergy-friendly chocolate truffles!

Gluten-Free Valentine's Day Cookie Bars – Em's NutFree Eats

All you need is gluten-free cookie dough, chocolate chips, coconut oil, and your choice of Valentine’s Day sprinkles. Their vegan, gluten-free, and nut-free cookie dough comes in four different flavors, but the chocolate chunk is my favorite and made the perfect base for these bars!Dark chocolate chips: I love using Guittard chocolate chips in my recipes because all their chocolate is nut-free! Pin this recipe for later: Remove cookie dough from refrigerator, and let sit for 10 minutes at room temperature to soften. Remove from oven, and let cool before slicing into square barsMelt chocolate chips and coconut oil in the microwave, stirring until smooth.

The Best Homemade Nut-Free Granola – Em's NutFree Eats

Many store-bought “nut-free” granolas use seeds and dried fruit that are cross-contaminated with nuts. My recipe uses shredded coconut, dried cranberries, sunflower seeds, and chopped up dried fruit bars. If you have a gluten allergy, make sure whatever oats you use are certified gluten-free!Sunflower seeds: It is often hard to find seeds that are free of cross-contamination with nuts. How to Make the Best Homemade Nut-Free Granola Combine all dry ingredients, including oats, coconut, spices, and dried fruit.
