One of my favorite pastimes is opening a book and being forty pages in by the next hour, sucked into a world I had never known before, that now feels more familiar than being at home. I cannot decipher because as the boy in the book leans in to kiss her (), I can feel my heartbeat speed up and skip a beat. I feel the sting of a loss that does not exist in the physical realm, but my heart has been sent on a rollercoaster of regret when the protagonist chooses to keep her words to herself. Yet I cannot decipher between the boy who kissed her and the boy that kisses me, because hey – my heart is still quickly beating in my chest.
Anxiety is a tough beast to deal with, and if you’ve been following my blog for a while, you’ll know that I’ve battled severe anxiety in the past. Whether you’re experiencing mild symptoms, or are finding yourself in “fight or flight” mode, I have created a list of products to help you manage your anxiety. None of these are a replacement for medical help. If you experience anxiety, please consult a professional.

The discussion of mental health only breaks the surface after big tragedies, when it should be something that we talk about on a daily basis. If you’re a follower of this blog, you’ll know that I’m all about finding ways to embrace your happiness and chase your bliss. If you happen to see somebody that’s struggling, make yourself available to them for conversation, because far too many people feel like they have nobody to talk to in dire times. If, on the other hand, you feel like you’re sinking deeper and deeper every day, please reach out to someone (anyone).
