The Baobab tree (otherwise known as the Tree of life) is the only fruit tree where the fruit dries naturally on the branch. Baobab boasts benefits for immune function, glowing skin, gut health ( 50% fibre) and is crammed with antioxidants (high level of Vitamin C). I have teamed up with Tribal Sports Nutrition who have kindly sent me some of their energy smoothies to let them know what I thought about them. I have been fuelling my runs and workouts with this superfood for the past 2 weeks, and what’s my verdict?
You might have read my post on running this marathon back in 2011, my first marathon, and if not, you should. I was kind of used to running a marathon once a year, had a break from running as was pregnant and gave birth to our second born daughter. You are here to read about my experience running the famous London Marathon, and that’s exactly what I am going to do. One thing I forgot to mention was that I didn’t know you don’t get your name printed on the running number ( that really should be changed), and only realised on Sunday morning when my hubby was pinning the race number on me….
A few weeks ago while I was scrawling through my Insta feed, an ad revealing the NEW OptiShokz Revvez Bone Conduction Audio Sunglasses from AfterShokz, popped up. I was nicely surprised to be contacted by the OptiShokz PR team to be one of the first few people to test and review Revvez on my blog and share on my media platform with my lovely followers. I absolutely ADORE my new OptiShokz Revvez, and am so pleased I have been running comfortably since the moment I put these on. I am used to running with my AfterShokz Trekz Air (using bone conduction technology), and wearing my sunglasses, but to be honest it was so much nicer to run with only with one frame behind my ears, not two like before.
Who would have thought that 2 years ago, when we took our two daughters to Paris to celebrate my older daughter’s 10th birthday, I would be running my next marathon here the following year? Anyway, when I was invited to run the Paris Marathon by the Paris Marathon Team, I had no idea how well I would be looked after. On Saturday morning before the marathon, I joined 5 other online influencers ( including Charlie from The Runner Beans standing right next to me in the picture above) and 3,000 runners who took advantage of a rare privilege for this new edition of the Paris Breakfast Run. Not only I fueled my body with some yummy fruit, granola, yoghurt and croissants, but I also paid a few visits to their super luxury toilets as wanted to avoid the ones on the course … When it was closer to the time I was supposed to get in my running wave I said goodbye to the lovely Paris Marathon team and was getting super excited.
