I’ve been itching for a roadtrip in a big way! However, our schedules are so crazy this spring, we don’t have much time! But, I did recently grab my mom and head to Ackley, IA for a morning of fun! So, where do the locals go?! Check it out! What morning road-trip can start without coffee?! Ours certainly cannot! When visiting Ackley, IA, you must grab your coffee from Beans on Butler. Do not be fooled by the exterior of this java shop! Beans on Butler is located adjacent to the community’s care center

After 5 trips to Branson, we have finally toured the College of the Ozarks. For several years, we’ve heard rumblings about visiting the college, but have never committed to doing it
But, when I heard that the Daum Museum of Contemporary Art in Sedalia has a Chihuly piece, I told T we had to go! While we didn’t get to enjoy a cup of joe from Ozark Coffee Company, we were so excited to be allowed a sneak peak of their brand new building! Ozark Coffee was started as a coffee bean roasting company by Justin Koehn many years ago. Some other stops that are on our radar when we return this summer: Missouri State Fair, the Scott Joplin International Ragtime Festival (the first weekend in June), the Katy Depot, the Katy Bike Trail, and visiting the Bothwell Lodge State Historic Site!
