They certainly know how to do Christmas in Germany and during our recent visit to Munich it was so easy to get into the festive spirit! There are so many appetising food outlets but it was a good opportunity to enjoy a traditional Flammkuchen, a pizza-like dish topped with bacon, onion and crème fra In the basement As we were in Bavaria, I had to try the Schwarzwälder Kirsch (Black Forest Cherry) cupcake which tasted just as good as it looks! Finally ......no trip to Munich during the winter would be complete without a warming glühwein (mulled wine) and we enjoyed ours in Amares, the tiniest bar off the main street.
