One thing that really irks me is when people over romanticise Cornwall. Now as a disclaimer I have to admit that as a county, Cornwall is pretty spectacular
So we’re just under two weeks away from the end of 2018, and what a year it’s been. I woke up to 2018 living in my parents home, working parttime in a retail job that gave me enough money to pay my bills (and not much else) and without much on the horizon. One that wasn’t necessarily better (I didn’t like the industry I was working in) but it got me a salary and was a good way to ease me into working 40 hours a week. If 2018 has taught me anything, it’s that life doesn’t do anything for you.
So sit back, relax and check out what I was loving in October: Velvet Floral Skater Dress from New Look So early on, I decided that 2018 would be the year I pass by on buying cheap high street gloves like I do every year (I tend to lose one glove a year so have loads of mismatched singles) and actually invest and take care of some thermal gloves. This is the first lip balm I’ve used that helps stop bad lip chapping but doesn’t make my lips feel greasy. I’ve watched and rewatched them all a good few times, and I was so excited to watch the new Apocalypse series.
A few weeks ago, I reviewed V. E Schwab’s cult favourite novel Vicious. With the similar flashback heavy narrative that the first novel did so well with, Vengeful introduces two new characters and a whole host of issues with our favourite band of ExtraOrdinary’s. Five years after the epic battle that left Victor dead and Eli imprisoned, we find Victor back thanks to Sydney’s life-restoring power. There’s a lot of guesses, but I’m really hoping the V. E Schwab will give her a standalone novel, or just a bigger part in the next book.
