We are excited to announce that new kits for Mabel’s Sister are now available! Our newest kit uses Eden Cottage Bowland DK. This is a favourite yarn at Loop, so it was our first choice for another version of Mabel’s Sister

We have two different yarns from Woolly Mammoth, and we’re so happy to welcome them to the selection of wonderful naturally dyed yarns we already have in stock at Loop. We have the Natural Sock minis, which are sweet bundles of five 20g mini skeins, each a different colour, wrapped with a small piece of Irish linen. We also have the Natural Sock, which comes in 100g skeins, with 400m per skein, so there’s plenty to play with in just one skein. Woolly Mammoth Natural Sock is of course perfect for knitting socks, but it would also be wonderful knitted into a lightweight sweater or cardigan, or a beautiful shawl.

We have been a stockist of Isager’s yarns for many years, and created our own designs using their yarns over the years including Oleander, Pinwheel Mitts and Blink. Loop now stocks two more of their yarns, Isager Tweed and Isager Bomulin – All the projects in ‘Stitches‘ use Isager yarns held double to create wonderful textures, and amazingly dynamic fabrics. Loop stocks almost all of Isager’s yarns, and we have great stock of the main yarns uses in ‘Stitches’ at the moment.

This week we are launching the newest pattern at Loop, Mabel’s Sister, at Edinburgh Yarn Festival. Sister will be exclusively available as a kit on our stand, H1, at Edinburgh Yarn Festival this weekend. The PDF pattern for Mabel’s Sister will be available from 29th March, through Fiona’s Ravelry page. We will have the sample for Mabel’s Sister on our stand too; you’ll be able to try it on and get a feel for the yarn and how it will handle and wear (very beautifully in our opinion! ).
