It’s certainly not the most glamorous of topics I’ve written about but I felt compelled to share my visit to a garbage dump. Now don’t get me wrong, I never expected the garbage dump to be a playground with a few plastic bags laying around On a positive note, I was incredibly impressed to notice piles and piles of plastic bottles separated in large bags ready to be sold to recycling plants. These brands all offer stainless steel canteens that keep the contents hot or cold for hours, so you won’t need to purchase anything in a plastic bottle.

I confess … I neglected my blog and website for quite some time. With work, kiting, surfing, freediving and trying to sneak some downtime in between, it’s been a while since I’ve updated my blog. Fortunately, I’ve been keeping my Instagram and Facebook updated, but if you missed those, here are some key things that have happened since I last updated my blog:
A few of my friends recently changed over to natural products including natural deodorant, which sounded great, but I just carried on using my usual antiperspirant. The natural deodorant works just as well, smells great and is made from all natural products. This sounds great, however, aluminium is also a known neurotoxin and long term exposure can accumulate in the breast tissue of women and can also cause alterations to DNA which could potentially support cancer development. It’s not a risk worth taking and I’m glad I listened to my body’s signs and made the change.
