Collaborative Crochet Blanket

You can find our previous baby blankets h ere here , and here , I like looking back at our very first one, I think we have come a long way with our collective crochet skill. We chose our colours carefully, we wanted them to be suitable for a boy or a girl as my friend decided not to find out the gender of the baby until he was born. A standard raised join of a double crochet sort of sits to the left or right depending on the orientation of your squares as you join. We all crochet differently, some of us looser than others so when we join our squares together some of the squares are bigger than others and it can look a little lop sided.

Wonderful Wednesday ... March 2019

We went to the woods, I saw friends and family and went on dog walks, went to a museum, went biking, attempted some 'art' and watched the entire first three seasons of Poldark (hello mr Poldark actor man, swoon! ) Obviously I will have my swim in my own beautiful serene pool purpose built to my exact specifications in the grounds of my ridiculous mansion in the Cumbrian countryside, complete with attached yoga studio. I imaginary decorated my beautiful pool room and adjoining yoga studio in the grounds of my ridiculously large mansion as I swam my 40 lengths. . I bought a new little sketchbook and I plan on filling it with a different sort of project, with a different artistical medium on each page.

Baby Crochet Lion

I like making little toys but I love the crochet bit, I don't like sewing it up, it gets stressful. I am a little sad at how his mane/hat/bonnet thing turned out, it seems a little small for his head and flat. This mane is added on like a bonnet, made separately and fastened on under his chin with a little strap. It probably is entirely unnecessary and the pattern would be the same without it, but I love these little details and the attention that goes into thee cute patterns.

Wonderful Wednesday ... February 2019

I think I've cracked it, I've found a way to make non-dairy porridge to be just as creamy as the dairy variety. I was a little disappointed when trying to transition from cow's milk to non-dairy alternatives with my very fave breakfast. I've been using almond milk and a big dollop of smooth almond butter along with my very fave dairy free, sugar free, gluten free fake chocolate sweet freedom sauce to make the most heavenly bowl of breakfast yummyness. But I have to get tattoos this year, because I put 'get 3 new tattoos' on my list of things I want to achieve this year, so I'm just ticking off the list you see.
