Basically, I just pledged one book to read this year in the hopes of not pressuring myself by setting an unrealistic reading quota for the year. Besides being my favourite contemporary novel of the year, hands-down, this is my favourite read of the year. It was an insane, mammoth of a year for young adult fantasy for me, and I’m pinching myself as to why I took this long to read these two hugely popular series. It might seem like that Taylor’s trying really hard to cross the urban/hip-hop bridge, but damn if she doesn’t do a catchy job out of it. Delicate I like the tropical vibe of the song, but sonically it sounds way too similar with the previous three tracks to the point that it’s hard for the song to capture my attention. Again another song that sounds like a previous song here (re: Don’t Blame Me). I actually thought Taylor covered one of my favourite Christian songs of all-time because they bear the same title, but this song is way, way far from the Gospel than I thought.
