The first item you need to navigate any conflict…even if it is related to social media is a bible. After reading what I needed to read and studying what I needed to study, here’s what what I learned about conflict resolution and Facebook. If one thing created all kinds of emotional upheaval for you, this conflict probably just isn’t about that one thing. The beauty of things like conflict is that they first and foremost are a demonstration of God’s grace and His work in our lives.

If we are going to be the people who God has called us to be, and serve the ways God has called us to serve our family, our friends, our co-workers, and our church, we have to do those things with intention. For a long time, rote prayers characterized my time with God. God is good, Praise God to whom all blessings flow, and Peace be unto you” prayers. I’ve mentioned before that 5:00 am is my jam when it comes to spending time with God, and that time is centered and focused on prayer, praise, and worship.
Since I work at a church, it’s against Facebook rules for a church to engage in political activity, which we didn’t realize at the time, because we weren’t actually endorsing a candidate. (I really didn’t know how to respond to that one because that person did follow me on social media before he said that to me Interestingly enough though, there are people who know the whole story and won’t add me back on any form of social media whatsoever. I think people have Facebook friends, Twitter friends, Snapchat friends, Instagram friends, and don’t like to mix their friends on social media platforms.
