My blog and brand is called Living Confidently With Anxiety!

Living confidently with anxiety does not mean being confident and getting rid of your anxiety. Instead, it is the process of simultaneously being both confident and anxious. You acknowledge what you are feeling, and then doing the thing anyway.

Now, anxiety?? I'm an expert at that. Starting in 2nd grade after a near death allergic reaction, I feared for my safety, had a fear of dying, and a fear of living. From 3rd-12th grade I was relentlessly bullied by my peers and did not feel comfortable in social situations. Even though I had a strong family support, was talkative and extroverted, I was suffering in silence with this internalized anxiety.

I developed positive coping skills like looking for positives in negative situations, using humor, and utilizing therapy. I wanted to be the person I needed when I was younger and help other people struggling which inspired me to get my bachelors in social work, and now my masters.

I have a personal drive and understanding of anxiety, as well as a professional background, knowledge, and skills to bridge the gap of my influence and make a positive and effective impact on my followers lives.

I created a written blog to share my stories and offer advice in context of my life experiences. I began using twitter as a way to share random quotes that inspire me, that I think are funny, and as a tool to put down ideas and thoughts to return to later and expand on.

My current social media focus is growing my Instagram blog. I post daily alternating between quotes that have inspired me, I find meaning in, or that I have said and pictures of me and other things that I pull meaning out of.

I want to begin collaborating with other goal driven, successful, or passionate individuals. I also want to grow my following and get more active followers participating on posts through sharing and commenting.

I've always had the dream of being well known, positively influential, and inspiring. I want to make people happy, feel more confident, give support, and improve their quality of life. I am currently using this brand as a platform to highlight my strengths and bring others up too throughout my own journey.

I have goals of creating either a podcast or YouTube channel, as well as create an online market to sell branded clothing, bags, stickers, and pins. Something specific is having jewelry with an assigned meaning (hope, faith, happiness, peace, strength, etc) and a quiz for people to take which will determine which meaning/attribute they need the most and match them to the assigned jewelry for that meaning.

In the future I am also interested in becoming an author and motivational speaker.

The good thing about my audience is its diversity. They all have their own individual likes, hobbies, and types of blogs. The one connecting factor is their mental wellness. They all have the desire to be happy, be their best selves, and live more authentically. This diversity is one of the best things about my following because we all have different life experiences and perspectives which is very influential when it comes to successful support. Every single one of my followers and future followers either has anxiety, knows what it is like to have anxiety, or knows someone with anxiety since it is ever increasing in our society.

Everyone can benefit from the support and community in this blog and my brand.

I am interested in all collaborations. I am personally interested in collaborations with people who are passionate about their work, have overcome adversity, is a big thinker, or have background in more business and marketing.

I want to connect with other people, learn, and improve on skills.

Overall, the reason I got into social work and the reason I want to be a public influencer are the same thing. I might not be able to change the world, but maybe I could help one person and change everything about their world.

When we collaborate and work together, we can succeed. The same goes for mental wellness and confidence. Suffering ends when we come together.

I look forward to talking to and working with other motivated individuals and for you to join me in creating a chain reaction of kindness in our own lives, communities, and followers.

3 tips on overcoming your cleaning anxiety ๐Ÿค ๐Ÿ‘‰ My specific "Cleaning Goblin" is laundry. We have a love hate relationship...I hate to do it and I'd love to avoid it. Everytime I saw my months old baskets I was hit with a wave of guilt, shame, stress, and was overwhelmed with anxiety and executive dysfunction because I truly WANTED to put it away....but it was just SO MUCH mental energy to do so. Getting started and taking that first step was the hardest. I realized once I was doing it, it was easier than my brain made it out to be and I now feel SO RELIEVED and accomplished. Let me share the things that helped me get over that cleaning anxiety hump and initiate that change. ๐Ÿค  tip 1 ๐Ÿ‘‰ play something in the background! Whether it is TV, Netflix, music, or a podcast, having something playing really helped distract my brain and made the less than exciting task more enjoyable ๐Ÿค  tip 2 ๐Ÿ‘‰ play dress up! I wanted to make cleaning fun and enjoyable so I got dressed in something comfy, did my hair, makeup, and designated this Halloween crown as my "cleaning crown". You see, I love wearing this crown and so I am motivating myself to clean by making a positive incentive of only wearing this crown when I'm cleaning. Because I am ROYALTY and I was going to defeat the Laundry Goblin and bring back my kingdom! (aka my bedroom which was runneth over with clothes) ๐Ÿค  tip 3 ๐Ÿ‘‰ phone a friend! get a body double We all need help sometimes, I found that having someone else around, just BEING there, really helped me get done what I needed to and FEEL better. How you going to expect different results doing the same things? If you do what you've always done, you'll get what you've always had. Anxiety isn't a life sentence, did you know it can go away!? This is something I wish SOMEONE had told me when I was younger Because I used to believe that I'd always have it, and accepted it, I never actively did things to help myself and get rid of it because I BELIEVED IT WASN'T POSSIBLE I didn't get the right help I needed, I didn't try to get better, I didn't work to get better because it felt pointless. Believing things can't change makes you feel powerless, helpless, hopeless, stuck, and just keeps putting fuel on the depression fire! In order for things to change, you have to BELIEVE they can change, because when you believe things can change you can take inspired action and do things with intention When I started to believe that I could help my anxiety, make my mind a better place to be, then all of a sudden I was able to identify so much support all around me and started making moves to align myself with my goal of feeling better So ask yourself, do you believe that change is possible? That you can get better? Change isn't always easy, but I've learned it is always possible. The 4C's of Change: does this apply to you? 1. Career Research indicates that fear of change is one of the single most career limiting moves you can make. Is fear and uncertainty holding you back? 2. Competence You have to believe you have the competence to handle change no matter if it is easy or painful. You must believe you can do it and that it will make you better. Are you afraid to let go of control? Do you believe in yourself? 3. Case You have to be clear on the WHY, why does things need to change? What would happen if they don't? If we understand why change is happening, why it is important, then the less resistance we have and the easier dealing with change becomes. 4. Core Change can make us feel ungrounded. Find your anchor and remind yourself that change won't change what is important to you. Things like your core values, your passions, the people you love. Change is inevitable. What we can do however is make it easier for ourselves! Practice baby steps of change and do small things that you haven't done. I dyed my hair a fantasy color for the first time when I was afraid of doing so before because of fear of judgement and what other people thought. I had a panic attack when I felt happy for the first time in a while When you grow accustom to struggle, suffering, negative experience and vibes...you internalize that as feeling normal. Feeling happy was a weird feeling for me that I couldn't identify at first. My nervous system was just like this is new! So that change triggered me because I was so used to feeling like the other shoe was going to drop and my nervous system interpreted the feeling as a potential threat, thus triggered panick. It is okay if you feel this way, have felt this way, or know that if this happens for you in the future, you are ok! The healing journey is all about change and doing uncomfortable things. You didn't get how you have been over night, so your healing won't either. But remember, in order to feel different you have to BE different. Create new habits, new beliefs, new social circles, new ways of thinking. What I wish you knew... There are nights you cry yourself to sleep. Times when you don't want to die but you don't want to to go on living how you are right now. That yes, you know it *might* be ok eventually, but that you are struggling to get through right now. People say it gets better but nobody ever showed you HOW. How my #randomactofkindness inspired another: Check out my last reel and you'll see I was inspired to leave a random positive note in a @starbucks Well, when I talked to the barista she wanted to know how my insta was doing and told her about the reel I made and showed her the note I was going to plant She absolutely LOVED it, took a picture, and re-hid it for another person to find. I then inspired HER to do a random act of kindness and when I went to pay for my coffee, she told me it was on her and that she hoped I had a good day. An Open Letter to Hallmark

I loved cuddling up with my mom in the winter to a feel-good movie of watching a boy and a girl fall in love with the magic of Christmas, to see two people overcome obstacles to be with each other. I believe that Hallmark should reflect this diversity and show that regardless if you are Christian, Jewish, or of a different religious background, that you deserve to be loved and find happiness. They can teach their viewers the importance of acceptance, and be an amazing role model for children of color, of kids who celebrate Hanukkah, and LGBTQ+ kids that they are all deserving of love and give them hope that they will too find love. What the world needs most is openness: Open hearts, open doors, open eyes, open minds, open ears, open souls.

The Girl Who Survived

Tests later showed I went into anaphylaxis shock, a severe life-threatening allergic reaction, due to an allergy to cod protein, which is found in all fish and shellfish. This is an extreme concern when going out to eat because I have to put my faith (pun on my name intended) and what I felt was my life in the waiters hands to understand how severe my allergy was and effectively communicate that to the chefs, who also needed to take extreme precaution. My anxiety follows me around everywhere because I am constantly on alert since I am reminded of my allergy and the time I almost died everytime It is not easy, and I am still working on it, because I have to retain some level of anxiousness because, unlike generalized anxiety that might not have an exact cause, I have a reason to be at least a little anxious about what I eat, expecially if I cannot tell if it has been cross contaminated or not.
