Going on hikes can be very enjoyable, but it also means that you need to find appropriate gear for both you and your dog. A properly fitting harness for your canine is just as important as a properly fit pair of hiking boots for yourself

The saddle bags are detachable, giving you the option to use the harness separately from the trail pack. The saddle bags also come in two size options, allowing users to choose the size that best fits their dog and the amount of gear their dog will be carrying. The saddle bags were proportionate and did not appear too big for Farley even though she was on the lower end for chest girth for the size medium harness. While we do like the saddle bags and harness, I would likely pay a bit more for a pack that does have a chest plate for comfort and support.

The second layer stores water for evaporation, and the third layer transfers the cooling effect to the dog. The vest may not be the best if you don’t have access to a tap or water source as it does require an excessive amount of water to fully soak. We will likely use the Swamp Cooler in locations where we have access to running water or a water source. This product would be best for: Those with access to large quantities of water, active dogs who need a durable product This product wouldn’t work for: Those with limited water access
