Now seven year’s young, the Beaver Valley Banked Slalom has become the annual spring gathering of Ontario’s snowboard community.
Capped at 250 entrants, the banked race is always a sold-out affair featuring a cool mix of legendary shreds, alongside some of the biggest names in park and street; industry leaders; current and ex-national team pipe, park and boardercross riders; coaches; local shop and park staff; and multiple generations of snowboard enthusiasts.
It’s also a charity fundraiser for the building fund of the new hospital in nearby Markdale in memory of Beaver Valley snowboarder Jackie Snarr.
As well as support from Pabst Blue Ribbon, Squire John’s, Kawartha Metals, Chapman’s Ice Cream, Bosse Snowparks, Beaver Valley Snow Parks and Beaver Valley Ski Club.
