Happy Father’s Day! Father’s Day is sentimental to me because while I celebrate my husband and father of my children, I also miss my Daddy and my brother Andrew who I would’ve called today. Add to that, I would’ve also been calling my Daddy for his birthday tomorrow… his birthday was sometimes on Father’s Day itself, and when it wasn’t, it was always around the same time. Yes, we have a favorite cruise line. Of the cruise lines we’ve sailed so far, Disney is our favorite. That said, I’ve just spent weeks telling you about MSC’s gorgeous ships and great itineraries, so what does that mean? Can I rave about MSC and still say Disney is my favorite? Well… YES! While I have a favorite cruise line, I haven’t had a cruise that I didn’t enjoy… some more than others, but all enjoyable! Each cruise line has its own strengths… and challenges. Disney, whether on land or at sea, is known worldwide for excellent guest service, attention to detail, and truly making guests feel like we’re living in a fairytale, Marvel movie, or a world of Jedi. There’s simply no other cruise line that provides that. However, the variety in MSC’s itineraries is far more appealing to me than the current Disney cruise itineraries, and MSC’s pricing, even for its great itineraries, is usually far more attractive than Disney’s pricing. Some other cruise lines we’ve sailed with… Royal Caribbean’s innovative Oasis, Quantum, and Icon class ships bring a WOW factor to cruising like no other cruise line; Norwegian’s Freestyle Cruising, wide variety of specialty dining, and Free-At-Sea options combine to make a unique cruise experience; and Carnival consistently brings the party at sea in a way that no other line does. There are many more cruise lines out there, and we look forward to cruising with other lines. As a matter of fact, this year, we will be cruising with a cruise line that will be new to us.
