Me… wondering if I will ever take another vacation that is fully a vacation for me. A vacation where I am fully relaxed and not recording a thing. I mean… to be fair, I’d been taking tons of photos and video clips on vacations years before officially becoming a travel vlogger… but, let me tell you… turning my vacations into work may not have been the smartest thing I’ve ever done. Now, since doing that, there is the pressure of posting… ‘cause yes, there’s pressure to be consistent otherwise, supposedly, these thangs don’t push out the content you’ve worked on 🤷🏽‍♀️ …plus the pressure of making sure equipment is working correctly, and we’re getting the right angles, shots, information, and real genuine moments ‘cause one thing we’re not doing is faking the funk, and there’s a whole pre-production and post-production process too. Oh, and sidebar… I haven’t written on my actual blog in months… but I’m keeping up with vlogs and other content. It is only fitting that, on this Throwback Thursday, which is also Nelson Mandela International Day, I’m reminiscing on our family’s visit to South Africa earlier this year. This photo was taken in Mandela Memorial Square in Stellenbosch. The sculpture we are standing by appears, at first glance, to be a map, which it is… but it is also a steel silhouette of Nelson Mandela’s smiling face which becomes more apparent as you take a step back to admire the artwork.
