for the love of nums Stovetop Vital Farms Ghee Popcorn: If you ever buy microwave popcorn again, you’re dead to me Popcorn is one snack we pretty much always include in the boys’ lunches. They love it, it’s not highly processed like other chip-aisle finds tend to be, and it’s relatively easy to procure a bag that’s not filled with junk
for the love of nums Quick Egg Drop Soup: Because it’s easier than putting on a bra to get takeout This egg drop soup is the quickest warm meal ever – annnnd one of y’all’s faves whenever I make it on Instagram, as well as one of your most requested tutorials. So here, I give you the ultimate tutorial (albeit with the most unflattering YouTube freeze-frame cover ever known to mankind – I swear they’re screwing with me at this point)
Not only does the batter come together quickly in the blender, but since this is cooked in one big skillet in the oven, you eliminate flapjack-flipping duty altogether, freeing up more time for cleaning up Legos, breaking up fights over who got the biggest banana and rescuing your three-year-old from the second-story staircase ledge. You can switch it up + top it however you like - cinnamon sugar like I usually do, powdered sugar, just maple syrup, fruit, whatever puffs your pancake. Place the butter in a 12" cast iron skillet + put the skillet in the oven until the butter melts and begins to bubble, just a few minutes. (make sure the melted butter is evenly coating the skillet bottom first), sprinkle with cinnamon, then bake until the pancake is puffy and golden around the edges, about 15 to 20 minutes.
If you have trouble getting your kids to eat veggies, this is a great recipe to turn that around. Lay out the zucchini rounds on a parchment-lined baking sheet, then season with salt + pepper and top each round with a dollop of pizza sauce and a sprinkle of cheese. My mission: to make the Standard American Diet a little less SAD, one home-cooked, real-food recipe at a time. No spam, no catch, just a simple way to point people toward a few of my kitchen necessities...annnnnnnd if you happen to decide to buy one of them through these links, I get a tiny percentage of the sale from Amazon as a little thank you for sending you their way.
