Earlier this month I was invited to get a sneak peek at the new NARS holiday beauty collection launch inspired by surrealist photographer, Man Ray. The store was packed with fellow beauty bloggers awaiting to learn more about the new collection which new shades of lip gloss, eye shadow, lipstick, and blush and a gorgeous gold highlighter – perfect to wear with any New Year’s Eve outfit. After trying some out, I decided to purchase the new Natural Radiant Longwear Foundation and the Velvet Shadow Stick in Flibuste, two items that I can easily wear on the daily. The other products depicted in the pictures below, the Nars nail color in Amarapura and the satin lip pencil in Luxembourg (the perfect blue-based red) were gifted.
Downtown Summerlin, in collaboration with style guru and fashion blogger, Christie Moeller, hosted a group of us last Saturday for a holiday gifting crawl to experience some the retail goodness and deals for the holiday season! We then walked over to Leather Couture by Jessica Galindo – all locally handcrafted leather pieces designed by Jessica herself. We ended our Downtown Summerlin holiday gifting tour with a delicious lunch at California Pizza Kitchen. Maggiano’s, Nekter Juice Bar, Makers & Finders, Soma, Shake Shack, Lazy Dog Restaurant and Bar, Vision by Amel, Build a Bear Workshop, and Buy Buy Baby.
It’s when Christmas music starts being played on the radio, holiday outfits takeover store mannequins and the holiday parties begin. This weekend I attended my first holiday brunch of the season – the annual beauty blogger brunch inside Mariposa Café at Neiman Marcus on the Vegas Strip. I’m always excited to see fabulous products from some of my favorite beauty brands and this year, it was sort of a blogger reunion, a chance to see some of my favorite local ladies many whom I haven’t seen in a while. Tom Ford Boy and Girl Lip Collection is a limited collection of gorgeous shades named after women and men Tom Ford truly admires.
On June 1st, I was blessed to give birth to my baby boy, Jon. Nevertheless, those things eventually became so unimportant as I found myself in the hospital room ready to give birth. I had one goal in mind, to get my baby healthy enough to progress through his time in the NICU with flying colors, which he did. I’m looking forward to this new chapter in my life, meeting and making new mommy friends and mostly caring for my new baby boy, who I can’t stop staring at.
