i went into the trip knowing next to nothing about thermador’s kitchen appliances, but thanks to the amazing experience provided by the thermador team, i left with an arsenal of info on the history of the brand, why they are so good at what they do, what to look for when choosing high-end appliances, and also, a full belly because they continually fed us delicious bits cooked in their steam ovens, and on their induction cook-tops. i thoroughly enjoyed myself, and most of all, enjoyed the company of ladies like charlotte lucas, callie jenschke, barrie benson, erika powell, kate reynolds, meg lonergan, angie hranowsky, kate ukrop and haskell harris. it’s HARD af, but each time i try,  i get a tiny success under my belt and i can feel the bonds of family hold me where i’m supposed to be. i’m learning to accept where i’m from, to maybe try to embrace it a bit, and to work on the relationships that i have left – like my uncle, and my dad.

it’s where i buy pretty much all of my items, so i thought i’d review my full price purchases of late, so i could feel shameful, and maybe you can benefit and feel sensible. searching through my shopbop account, it seems i’ve acquired these items in the last few months that given the chance, I’d gladly buy all over again, esp. at 25% off: a dog wedding robe – you thought i was kidding about this. something about sandals sometimes makes me feel unabashedly girly, and i’d rather be a bashed girl. considering this sale is v. legit and, if money grew on schnauzies, these are the items i would add to cart asap: this hat seems like it would be life-changing

and we’ve got a unbelievable itinerary jam-packed with shopping excursions, meetings with manufacturers, block-printing classes and plenty of sight-seeing. i (hopefully) finished up my last minute shopping for india today, picking up a few kiehl ’s essentials at the mall, amazon-ing some staples like deet-wipes, earplugs and power adapters, and starting my typhoid vaccine (fun! ). i heard one time that cats are either tree cats, or ground cats (does your cat like to be up high, or like to hide under things down low, like the bed? ). i am traveling to jaipur, india in 10 days with a group of lady-decorators, and SF decorator grant gibson at the helm as our host. i am equally anxious face emoji with teeth showing, grateful praying hands emoji and maybe a little pink heart heart with two sparkles. until then, i’m here in raleigh, werking on work, nesting at the kondo, exercising (i seem to only be able to do that here), eating dinners with friends and watching movies at the alamo draft house.
