Highlights
Bass Lake in Winter + The Pines Resort at Bass Lake Chalets

The Pines Resort hosted our stay at Bass Lake and also provided one Family Meal from Ducey’s on the Lake. In the heart of Bass Lake is The Pines Village, and there’s a resort right in the middle of it all: The Pines Resort on Bass Lake. The Pines Village is where the lobby and registration desk are located for The Pines Resort. It’s no secret that Bass Lake and The Pines Resort are pretty close to Yosemite National Park.

Iceland on a (Semi) Budget: How Much Does a Trip to Iceland Cost?

They cost approximately $1.22 USD each, and every time we use them to bag our groceries at home, it reminds us of our fantastic trip to Iceland! USD Plan for an overall Iceland 1 week trip cost of $4,500-$6,000 USD for a family of four, depending on which U.S. coast you’re starting on. It is possible to stick with our trip to Iceland cost of around $4,100 USD…if you fly from the U.S. east coast. If you’re not using points and miles for airfare, or using points and miles to get from the west coast to east coast, and then pay the lower fares from the east coast to Iceland, your trip cost will be on the higher end.

Top Things to Do in Sarawak Beyond Kuching

If you’ve made it to the island of Borneo, and specifically Sarawak, Malaysia, chances are you’re ready to explore what the area has to offer! When you’re deciding on things to do in east Malaysia, make sure to include learning about the Dayak people groups (you can start at the Sarawak Cultural Village). Your Bidayuh village day trip with Saloma’s Villagestay will include visiting a Bidayuh longhouse, jungle trekking, and lots of amazing food and interaction. Read more about our time at Saloma Villagestay, and see how you can learn more about Bidayuh culture when you’re deciding on things to do in Sarawak.

Saloma Villagestay is Authentic Borneo (Day Trip Review)

Saloma Villagestay offers multi-day tours, where you will actually lodge at Saloma’s house. Look no further than this Bidayuh village day trip, with orangutans, jungle, longhouses, and more! Traditional Bidayuh food uses a lot of veggies, and at Saloma Villagestay, all the food served is either grown locally on the family farm or collected/sourced from the jungle/wild. After hiking back to Saloma’s house, we had some more time to just hang out and relax on the veranda before dinner time.
