And we needed to celebrate… October 17th was going to be epic, the government and the Cannabis producers were working double duty to let everyone know that this monumental day was on our doorsteps! The novelty of this recently passed legislation certainly is palatable , and pleasing.. and I really do understand why people are so eager to finally smoke a legal marijuana joint. This was going to be a party to usher in and celebrate this new era of Canadian culture. It was a party where flappers and dappers could all celebrate this monumental event in style.
Ironically, even with all the proper roll models and peer relationships I have had a difficult time embracing any kind of substantial material success, and in turn I have spent a life time hiding in their shadows. The London Music Hall is a great little music venue for touring bands to come and have an intimate show for their fans while they showcase new albums and songs. There has been many live shows that I have seen over the years, and after seeing this show in London it has solidified the idea that I love seeing live shows in a small music hall more than all the rest. The whole point of this rant isn’t to convince you to go to a local music show or to tell you how you consume the musical entertainment out there in the world today, but to open your eyes and see that there are cool things going on in this world.
During the summer I made the decision that this year would be another year of Local house league hockey for my son. This choice has forced me to open my mind, become a little more generous with my time, and to be grateful that people are appreciative of the time/knowledge that I can share. My son started playing hockey when he was 5, and ever since he started the league has needed coaches. This world of volunteering my time has introduced me to an amazing experience that can’t always be explained.
