Why Decluttering Isn’t Working

your identity your purpose what you stand for and enjoy – will help you to make wiser decision and keep you from taking on more things you don’t need. I would meditate mostly in psalms for the entire year of 2017, when we decided that we were no longer going to spend frivolously or try to take the easy way out, signing up for MLMs and different debt consolidation programs that weren’t solving the root of our issues. no matter how many journals, candles, purses, outfits, appliances, or hobbies we bought and impulsively got into, it NEVER changed the fact that it wasn’t what we needed and it wasn’t making either of us very happy. But I am telling you that if you’re wanting to live this lifestyle, it’s going to take more than just getting rid of your stuff to be successful.

10 Practical Steps Towards Minimalism

Rather than focusing on what you want your space to look like, focus on how you want to FEEL when you come home from a long, exhausting day at school or at work. Once you’ve identified how you’d like to feel in your space, you can start decluttering and taking the necessary steps needed to reach this goal. During the decluttering process I learned what actually matters to me, what I’m actually interested in, and what I wanted to create more time, space, and energy for in my life. If you’re ready to STOP the chronic decluttering and organizing and you’re ready to actually live and be more with less, then sign up for your FREE 30 Minute Life Clutter Assessment right here!

Become a minimalist ASAP

When you get rid of clothing you HONESTLY don’t enjoy, it’ll make finding outfits to wear SO MUCH EASIER and eliminates decision fatigue. Things like school, work, family, and social life (if you’re lucky) zap a lot of time and energy out of the day. Don’t allow more into your schedule that would take away from the time & energy you could also use to take care of yourself, cook a HEALTHY meal for your family, or to simply BE PRESENT because that’s the real gift in life. There are many other wonderful things you can do as a minimalist and so much more that I could add to this list, but the tips mentioned in this post should be sufficient enough to get you started on becoming a minimalist in as little time as possible.

A Letter to 14-Year Old Me

Just because she’s extraverted doesn’t make you less valuable; You’re a deep thinker and a poet at heart. Girl, don’t obsess over the brand names your parents can’t afford; having your hair perfect or being someone you’re not. Don’t obsess about silly boys or girls and what they’re doing, who they’re dating, and where they’re going. who and what God’s placed on your heart, and how you’re going to get there.
