Recently the area has had an upgrade, with redevelopment along the river foreshore and a new Mends St Arcade shopping area. Within a two minute walk of the Quest South Perth Foreshore is the South Perth ferry with a seven minute trip across the river to the Perth City, Elizabeth Quay and the Convention & Exhibition Centre. Like the ‘Bottlebrush’ which has locally made Old Young’s No.1, Giniversity aromatised wine, Australian Bottlebrush with native wattle seed and lemon myrtle. As our weekend drew to an end, I thought of the history I had with this amazing group or girls who I have called my friends for such a long time.

The train followed the ocean the whole way to Otaru where we watched the crazy japanese surfers and the waves crashing against the snowy shore. Otaru was beautiful, with snow falling on us constantly all day as we walked the streets exploring the fish stalls and souviner shops. Although sad to get back on the train after our wonderful day in Otaru, we were excited as our family friends were arriving that night. Next time you head to northern Japan for their famous j-pow and ski slopes, take a few days to explore Sapporo before you go.

As a family of five if there is LESS things for ME to have to worry about when I’m on holiday the BETTER it is for everyone in our family. Mt Romance Farm is situated half way between Denmark and Walpole in the Great Southern Region of Western Australia. Denmark Dinosaur World is 10 minutes drive from Mt Romance Farm and another great place to visit with the kids . The Denmark Dinosaur World is open 9:30-4:30 daily and costs $45 for a family (2 adults plus 3 children). We opened the bottle of local wine that we had picked up at the Bow Bridge Store and the enjoyed the peace and tranquility of Mt Romance Farm.
