When the last race of the night came, Mom and I decided to pool our money to place a Trifecta bet (when you choose the selection of the first, second, and third place finishers in that exact order). Maybe I got caught up in the excitement of things, or maybe (more likely) it was the 18-year-old drinking age, but when I had placed our bet, I mixed up the names of the horses. Mom hasn’t taken me back since (I don’t blame her), but we still watch the big races every year. So when JCPenney asked us to take a look at their spring dresses, I was inspired to put together some fabulous outfit combinations in honor of this year’s upcoming Kentucky Derby (the first race of the Triple Crown).
They take any outfit to a more interesting, cooler place, and they’re just great to grab when you’re feeling a little blah or haven’t a clue what to wear. I’m all about these easy, game-changing pieces for everyday, and you know I like something interesting in all of my looks. Well, we’re back with another #TMEStyleChallenge and I think I speak for all of us here at TME when I say we’re never NOT amazed by the results. Some of you entered with selfies, some snagged pics probably taken by your significant others (that’s always fun, right? ) and we even got, ‘My photographer was getting on the bus : Show Us Your Best Rainy Day Outfits is over, we’re on to Week 2: Head-to-Toe Neutrals. We can’t wait to see you best neutral looks with rich caramels, tans, beiges and white.
I’ve already replaced most of my beloved vintage fit Levi’s, but now it’s time for my black jeans. What’s good: I love the fit and fabric. It feels more like denim than the Levi’s, without compromising the stretch. What’s good: I love the fabric.
