Musings of a beardless hiker buried deep within suburbia. Walking, potatoes, writing and breathing are my interests.
Look out. It’s another post
Well, this has been a while between posts. What’s it been? More or less a year? Oh well, that’s the way it goes sometimes
‘I’m saying it ain’t broke, but really that’s a smokescreen as I know it’s broke, which means try and fix it yourself, but as you haven’t got a clue, you thoroughly stuff it up more and then you say to yourself, it ain’t broke, don’t fix it, which just makes you feel better.’ Don’t try and decode the last paragraph. Firstly, there’s no way in a million years I wouldn’t make it to the top. Feeling confident no one else was heading up for the day, I’d follow, as that way I wouldn’t have to deal with the inevitable early morning cobwebs that all these tracks seem to have.
What’s on the map, what’s on the GPS, what’s on Google Earth does not necessarily mean what’s on the ground. Tarilta Creek loops at a point, where it’s only about 400 metres from the Dry Diggings Track. What’s weird is I’d allowed a stack of time to get the creek done, but it had barely taken any time at all. It’s an MBVC beer bottle from the 1930’s.
