She went on to say that when bad things happen to others in the world, it brings everyone together through the help and good things we do. And this world that we live in, the world that she’s growing up in, the world she will inherit, is a crazy and scary place. I tell her that I don’t know why these bad things happen or why there are people who want to hurt other people. I tell her that it’s when these bad things happen that she has an opportunity to show that she’s one of the good people.
I think they are a fun way to sample a bunch of different items and products for a particular interest. However, when Karla from Crowns and Tiaras introduced me to her subscription box, I was even more intrigued than usual. Creating great and priceless bonding experiences between mothers (crowns) and daughters (tiaras) every month that will last forever. What I loved even more about this product is that aside from creating a bonding experience from the products in the box, they donate a portion of the sales to support charities that help moms in need.
While I can’t say she has been as enthusiastic as her first day (that’s a whole other post! ), I can say that I’ve grown even prouder of her as her journey continues. Sure I’m proud of her for trying to adjust to such a big change in her routine, but what I’m beyond proud of is her compassion for her fellow classmates. Somewhere along the way, people began to think that since you can hide behind an online profile, it’s okay to express nasty thoughts and feelings to others. Both of us had been asked when we were going back to work since our children were now in school for the whole day. Once a stay at home mom finds her days childless, everyone else seems to think it’s appropriate to ask what she is now going to do with her life. Whether a stay at home mom, a work at home mom or a working mom, we choose what works best for us and our families. For me, we decided it was best for me to stay at home while my husband went to work.
