San Marino, is it worth a visit? Well, it is the fifth smallest country in the world (just over 61 km2 / 24 sq mi) and completely surrounded by Italy so that alone made us very curious! We visited this tiny nation during our “babymoon” road trip across Italy. As it turns out, San Marino is a great day trip away from the hot and sweaty beaches on the Adriatic coast

The volcano reaches a height of 5,897 m (19,347 ft), making it one of the highest active volcanoes in the world! The glacier -one of the very few equatorial ones- starts at 5,000 m (16,400 ft), which was the end goal of our expedition. You can find excellent Indonesian food on almost every corner of the street, but if you’re looking for something a bit different, these are the places you shouldn’t miss! Great place for fresh fruit juices and healthy snacks, although they have some pretty darn good tiramisu as well! You’ll pass this place when hiking the gorgeous Campuhan Ridge Walk, excellent spot for a well-earned break if you ask us :) Nothing beats a freshly cut young coconut to cool down a bit, or even better, a scoop of the most delicious coconut ice cream topped up with pieces of fresh coconut meat and palm sugar!

Outlining your itinerary beforehand can be a big time and money saver, as you don’t want to spend time during your trip hunting down the best deals :) And because you don’t have to stretch your budget for a long period of holiday time it’s possible to visit the more expensive countries (Australia, France, Switserland, USA, Norway, Italy etc.) You’ll have to stretch your budget for a longer period of time, so think wisely about the amounts you spend on accommodation, transport, food & drinks, entertainment etc. There are plenty of different travel styles, and it can take a couple of trips to discover which one you actually prefer the most: City trips, road trips, outdoor adventures, luxury resorts, camping, festivals, shopping, food, yoga retreat, skiing, cultural experiences, countryside, glamping, beach life, hiking and so much more!
