Today is three years since you left us dad. I wish it were different. I wish I could watch Tarzan without bursting into tears. I wish I didn’t have hold my little siblings as they try to process grief because I know you never would’ve wanted that for us. I wish healing and grief were linear so some days wouldn’t hurt more than the first one without you. But that’s not how our story goes. We all love and miss you so much, and we’re full of a lot of “I wish” today. I hope wherever you are that you’re happy, and who knows maybe some of it will rub off onto us.
